Wolfburn, last year’s Darwin Cup third place getter, showed he will be a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming Darwin Carnival features with a dominant winning display in the ANZAC Day handicap, feature event at Fannie bay on Thursday.
The 5yo son of Snitzel, trained by Gary Clarke and with Jarrod Todd in the Saddle, began well, sat outside Swing With Junior through the mid-section of the race and then showed his class over the last 250m, dashing away to win by 3.5 lengths, with Siakam doing his best work last to take third in the 1200m event.
