Fashions on the Field

The Great Northern Darwin Cup Carnival is celebrated not just for its thrilling races, but also for the bright, colourful, and vibrant outfits that perfectly suit the Top End lifestyle.

Fashions on the Field invites everyone to take part in the fashion and fun of race day. Our expert judges will be looking for stylish, race-appropriate outfits that showcase individual flair, sophistication and creativity – all styled with headwear, shoes, and accessories that reflect both tradition and current trends.

Prize Highlights

We are delighted to present a curated selection of prizes for this year’s Darwin Cup Carnival Fashions on the Field – culminating on Darwin Cup Day, where the overall winner will take home an exquisite 18ct White Gold Diamond and South Sea Pearl Pendant Necklace, designed by Chris Williams Jewellers.


All category winners will also receive a bottle of G.H. Mumm Champagne, a winner’s sash, and a bouquet of flowers for the ladies.
