The Darwin Turf Club is pleased to announce that tickets to the Territory’s largest sporting and social event, the 2017 Carlton Mid Darwin Cup Carnival, are now on sale.
Again over 40,000 people are expected to revel in the excitement, pageantry, and style that decorate Carnival time, and with over $1.95 million in prize money on offer and over fifty races throughout July and August, the Top End comes alive in the celebration of thoroughbred racing.
In 2017 the Carnival will be bigger and brighter than ever before, with the announcement that this year’s theme is the ‘Carnival of Colour’, Patrons are encouraged to celebrate the vibrant colours and embrace the vivid fashions that the Northern Territory is renowned for.
Whether it’s taking the kids along to the Asian United Food Service Family Day, enjoying the fun and frolics of Bridge Toyota’s Ladies Day or basking in the excitement surrounding the Carlton Mid Darwin Cup, Carnival time offers something for everyone.
General Admission prices will remain the same as 2016 pricing, and this year will see a renewed focus on entertainment around the course, with live music and pop-up activities on offer most days of the Carnival. 2017 will also see the introduction of the Hot100 Marquee on Carlton Mid Darwin Cup Day. Ticket holders will experience all the fun, music and entertainment in the “Go for Gold” themed marquee whilst enjoying the exclusive environs of Centrefield.
