There is no better place to watch the race that stops the nation than at the Darwin Turf Club, with tickets now on sale.
Darwin Turf Club chief executive Brad Morgan said Territorians were presented with several options for the Lexus of Darwin Melbourne Cup day including packages in the Ted Bailey Grandstand and the New Public Stand.
“Level one of the new public stand will be a great day of entertainment with a deluxe three-course alternate drop and four-hour premium beverage package included in the ticket cost, as well as entertainment throughout the day with a Melbourne Cup sweepstake, best hat competition, and several other door prizes and giveaways in place,” he said.
Level two corporate boxes are also available.
Priced at $250 a head, a corporate box includes your own air-conditioned private suite, TAB facilities with continues canapes and a five – hour premium beverage package.
“Our new corporate boxes are the perfect way to treat your clients or colleagues for a day at the track,” Mr Morgan said.
And for those there for the racing – you’ll not only be able to watch the Melbourne Cup live on the big screen you’ll also get a packed day of racing here at the Darwin Turf Club.
“We are very lucky to be able to put on these events while it is so uncertain in Melbourne,” Mr Morgan said.
Gates open at 10 am with general admission $15 and concession $10.
The Melbourne Cup is scheduled to jump at 1.30pm local time with the first Darwin race schedule for around 2.00pm.
