Tickets go on sale today for Darwin’s night of nights, the Qantas Darwin Turf Club Gala Ball. Guests will be treated to a night of glamour, sparkling champagne, world-class food and entertainment enjoyed under the open skies of Australia’s Top End.

The black-tie event, will remain at the picturesque lawns of Little Mindil Beach and take place on Saturday, 3 August 2019 from 7pm.

Longstanding naming right sponsor, Qantas and the Darwin Turf Club will welcome Mindil Beach Casino Resort as event sponsor to the iconic Gala Ball, promising the best hospitality and entertainment in the Top End.

Mark Bennett, General Manager of Mindil Beach Casino Resort, commented, “As the new stewards of Mindil Beach Casino Resort, we’re thrilled to be sponsoring this year’s Darwin Cup Gala Ball. It’s sure to be a fantastic event and we’re excited to be a part of it.”

The night’s entertainment has proven a draw card to the Qantas Darwin Turf Club Gala Ball with previous artists such as Human Nature and Jessica Mauboy performing on the lawns of Little Mindil Beach. This year, the Darwin Turf Club is introducing a line-up of artists and performers welcoming Vanessa Amorosi and Samantha Jade to the stage.

Indigenous Australian dance group, Djuki Mala will also join the line-up and perform their high-energy dance routines, showcasing their talents to the diverse audience in attendance.

Vanessa Amorosi will bring back some nostalgia with her hit anthems “Absolutely Everybody”, “Shine” and “The Power” that topped the charts.

The party won’t stop there, with X Factor winner (2012) Samantha Jade, performing her hits such as ‘What You’ve Done to Me’, ‘Firestarter’ and ‘Soldier’ with an array of 70’s and 80’s favourites.

The Darwin Turf Club welcome back Australian racing identity, Greg Radley from SKY Racing as the Master of Ceremonies of the event.

“The Qantas Darwin Turf Club Gala Ball is a true reflection of what Darwin has to offer to Australia. With long time sponsor Qantas and the Mindil Beach Casino Resort as quality partners we look forward to taking this event to another level. Said Chairman of the Darwin Turf Club, Brett Dixon.

We once again look forward to continuing the support of a Darwin Charity with a $10,000 donation on the night.” He said.
