CUDJERIE reinforced her standing as one of the most promising sprinting mares in the Territory with a stunning win in Heat 2 of the Ladbrokes Summer Sprint Series, the feature event at Fannie Bay on Saturday.

Trained by Chris Pollard and with Alice Springs-based apprentice Dakota-Lee Gillett in the saddle, Cudjerie trailed pacemaker Vunivalu before popping out to challenge in the straight of the 1200m event.

Gillett, who rode her first Darwin winner on December 31, sent the four-year-old to challenge at the 200m mark, assuming control to reach the line 1 1/2 lengths clear of Vunivalu, with El Magnificence three lengths back third….
