Racing secret to winner

The hardy Early Crow, having his fourth run in a month, proved the superior sprinter when storming home to win the $135,000 bet365 Palmerston Sprint at Fannie Bay on Saturday.
The fice-year-old son of Kuroshio and Bo Dee gave trainer Dick Leech his second Palmerston – he won in 2010 with Lucid Reflection – and jockey Aaron Sweeney his biggest success in the saddle.
“Gee he’s one tough little bloke,” a delighted Leech said after the race.
“He’s got a few issues but he’s just such a fighter – and Aaron rode him and absolute treat.
