IT is only by chance South Australian trainer Nicole Bruggemann found her way to Darwin.
And she certainly does not regret the move after overseeing three winners at Fannie Bay on Friday.
That included seven-year-old gelding Masterati in the feature $23,000 Filly Friday’s Handicap (1600m), the gelding triumphing by just over a length ahead of Skaldak (trainer Emma Steel, jockey Jarrod Todd).
“I was in Alice Springs and the track was not how I would’ve liked it, so I was happy to come up here,” Bruggemann told the NT News.
“I saw Vanessa Arnott down there and she said ‘why don’t you come up to Darwin?’
