The Darwin Turf Club welcomes SILK Laser Clinics as the official sponsor of the 2018 Carlton Mid Darwin Cup Carnival, Fashions on the Field events. SILK Laser Clinics has been involved in the event in past years, providing prizes for the winners. This year, stepping up as the major sponsor officially naming the event ‘SILK Laser Clinics Fashions on the Field’.
“SILK Laser Clinics are thrilled to be the official sponsor of Fashions on the Field. As a locally owned business we appreciate how anticipated and fun the racing carnival is in Darwin and we are delighted to be a part of this prestigious and vibrant carnival” says Alice McDonald from SILK Laser Clinics.
“Bridge Toyota Ladies day will be a highlight and we can’t wait to see the entrants and help many of the racegoers get ‘race ready’ with skin treatments at our Palmerston and Casuarina clinics!” Jess Herraman, Palmerston and Casuarina SILK Laser Clinics owner, added.
The SILK Laser Clinics Fashions on the Field will introduce a separate Millinery heat to feature on Bridge Toyota Ladies Day (Wednesday 18th July) and Carlton Mid Darwin Cup Day (Monday 6th August) where the focus will be purely on the headwear rather than the complete look.
“The Darwin Turf Club is proud of the fact that we have so many talented Milliners in the Territory and we really wanted to showcase that in a separate heat of our Fashions on the Field event” said Natalie Moss, Marketing and Sponsorship Manager at the Darwin Turf Club.
This year, joining the judging panel for SILK Laser Clinics Fashions on the Field is current Miss Universe Australia, Olivia Rogers.
“I am really looking forward to judging the Fashions on the Field in Darwin. I have never been to Darwin before and I absolutely love the races so what better way to experience Darwin than during the cup! I’m also thrilled that the theme for Fashion is very colourful, I can’t wait to see what people come up with” said Miss Universe.
