Be among the first to witness the breakout performance of Darwin’s next superstar at the Pitch Perfect vocal competition at the Darwin Turf Clubs, Schweppes Pavilion on Saturday 7th July, 2018.
Come along and enjoy the singing spectacular as Darwin's standout middle and high school vocalists take to the microphone in order to win a once in a 'lifetime' prize package including the opportunity to perform in front of 3,500 people at the Northern Territory’s night-of nights the Qantas Darwin Turf Club Gala Ball and the Chief Ministers Cocktail Party.
The competition will see each high school put forward a maximum of two students to perform before our judging panel of local talent.
“The Darwin Turf Club along are proud to bring this event to the Northern Territory’s Dry Season Calendar,” said Chief Executive Officer, Keith Stacey.
“Darwin has unearthed several amazing performers who have participated in successful TV vocal competitions including the likes of Jessica Mauboy, Shiane Hawke and Luke West. Students aged 12 to 17 years are eligible and we’re hoping Pitch Perfect will provide the platform for the breakout performance of the next big name to come out of the Territory,” He said.
On top of the opportunity for the winning performer to sing their feature song on stage at the 2018 Qantas Darwin Turf Club Gala Ball and the Chief Ministers Cocktail Party they will receive a $2000 Darwin Turf Club cheque for their school’s music department plus vouchers from local retailers and tourist companies, together with styling and media opportunities.
Application will close this Friday 29th June 2018 at 5pm.
