The three-year-olds take the spotlight in the feature HOT100 Darwin Guineas regarded as one of the blue riband events for the class. The victor of the Guineas not only reaps the reward of $70,000 prize money but will also claim the vital 1st leg of the $100,000 Ladbrokes Triple Crown bonus.

Off the Track

It’s Day One of the Carlton Mid Darwin Cup Carnival and it’s all about the fun! With live music throughout the day and the Hot 100 crew on course running games and giving away fantastic prizes. The Firies are hosting a spectacular event in the Schweppes Pavilion, fundraising for the 2017 World Police and Fire Games.

For the fashionistas, on this day anything goes- wear something old, wear something new or borrowed or even blue!

Ted Bailey Grandstand Luncheon

Enjoy birds-eye views over the winning post, race course and mounting yard in the fully air conditioned Ted Bailey Grandstand. Luncheon Includes:

  • Gate & Grandstand entry
  • Reserved seating (tables of 6)
  • 3 course set menu (served at 1pm)
  • Race book
  • Betting facilities
  • Cash bar.

Sid Parker Verandah

NT Firefighters Association Race Day in the Schweppes Pavilion

A fantastic day at the races, hosted by the NT Firefighters Association to support the Firies’ representing Australia at the 2017 World Police and Fire Games in Los Angeles. Ticket includes:


  • Gate and Schweppes Pavilion access
  • 3 hour beverage package (1pm to 4pm)
  • 2 hour canapés
  • Betting Facilities
  • Max Fredericks playing live
  • $10,000 prize draw (NT Trade Lottery Permit # NTL17/11).

What to Wear

Entry to general admission areas of the race course requires guests to be neatly dressed. Footwear and a shirt must be worn at all times. Members' dress standards apply to the Ted Bailey Grandstand and Sid Parker Verandah/Members Club House.


The racecourse is approximately a 7 minute drive from the CBD. There are a number of transport options available to our valued patrons.

Where to Eat

There is an array of dining options at the Darwin Turf Club, from a 3 course luncheon in the Ted Bailey Grandstand on Race Days, to a casual bite to eat in our trackside favourite Ted's Bar.
