2017 Darwin Cup Carnival Staffing :

Recruitment for the 2017 Darwin Cup Carnival will commence on 6th June 2017.  All applicants will need to attend one of these sessions to complete paperwork and have a quick face to face interview.

If you worked for us in 2015 or 2016, you don't need to come in for an interview. Please email or SMS 0458 441 544

Our WALK IN interview sessions will be held at Fannie Bay Race Course  at Dick Ward Drive Fannie Bay. Please come to the STAFF ENTRY gate next to the big roundabout of the Members Carpark and see the HR staff. Please ensure you arrive by the interview time listed, as no late comers will be seen once the session starts.

ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTS TO BRING TO THE INTERVIEW. You must bring all of these to the interview :

  •        Current resume 
  •        Australian photo ID for Australian citizens or passport for travellers
  •        Taxfile number or proof that you have applied for one
  •        Payroll details (where you want to be paid)
  •        Super fund details (if choosing your own fund). Darwin Turf Club uses HostPlus as our Super Fund
  •       Any relevant certificates e.g. You must bring an RSA certificate if you are applying for bar or wait work


  •        All applicants must be available to work Monday 7th August for Darwin Cup Day 
  •        You must have a working email address and mobile phone number 
  •        Applicants under the age of 18 must attend the session with a parent or guardian. You must also be 15 years of age or older. Roles available for Under 18 staff - Kitchen hands, Kiosk, Fridge Stackers, Glassy
  •        Allow at least 60 - 90 minutes for the interview session.  

Online Safety Induction

It is a requirement that all new employees complete an Online Work Health Safety Induction. You can apply for work and complete the induction prior attending your interview. The Induction takes approximately 30 minutes to input your details and complete the slideshow. You will need the following before commencing the induction :

  • Internet Access
  • Working Email Address
  • Any of the following - Smartphone, Ipad, Laptop or PC

Online RSA Training

According to Liquor Act, Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificates for staff involved in the service of alcohol are compulsory in the Northern Territory, in line with the rest of Australia. Commission recognises all RSA certificates issued by accredited training providers interstate. All staff at Darwin Turf Club who work in the following areas must provide us with a copy of an Australian RSA within 30 days of commencing your employment :

  • Duty Managers & Bar Supervisors
  • Matre D & Functions Supervisors
  • Bar Staff
  • Food & Beverage Staff (Wait Staff)
  • Stock Runners
  • Glassies

It is a Darwin Turf Club requirement that all staff serving alcohol are over 18 years of age. Staff under the age of 18 years are able to apply for roles as Stock Runners, Glassies, Kitchen and Kiosk Service. All staff applying for work under the age of 18 must attend the interview with a parent or guardian.

ONLINE RSA - $12.99. Your RSA Certificate will be emailed to the HR Team once you have completed and paid for the course.

Complete your RSA Online

ONLINE RSG - $14.99. Your RSG Certificate will be emailed to the HR Team once you have completed and paid for the course. There is no requirement for an RSG within any role at Darwin Turf Club, so it is not a job requirement to obtain one to gain employment.

ONLINE RSA & RSG Bundle - $26.99. Your RSA & RSG Certificate will be emailed to the HR Team once you have completed and paid for the courses.
